The Spanish Red Cross conceived and hosts the Livelihoods Resource Centre on behalf of the International Federation (IFRC) and its members.
The mission of Spanish Red Cross is to be closer to vulnerable people at national and international level, through prevention, assistance, rehabilitation and development actions. The vision as a Humanitarian Organisation, working on a volunteer basis and rooted in society, will offer holistic answers to victims of emergencies and disasters, as well as to those vulnerable to social, environmental and health-related problems.

IFRC provides technical support and oversight to the Livelihood Resource Centre through its Steering Committee. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.
